Digital Access

This section provides information about digital equity and digital literacy. It includes resources to support learners, build skills, and determine online readiness.

Best Practices

These resources can assist programs and instructors with guidance on best practices for distance and remote learning which include equity, inclusion, safety, and privacy in the online classroom; teacher observations and evaluation; and student engagement and motivation. They are meant to support programs in a transition to and development of distance, remote, and/or virtual learning.

Instructional Tools

These tools, which are either free or have free versions, can be used to supplement instructional materials within the classroom or for additional practice outside of the classroom.

Learning Management Systems (LMS)

This section provides an overview of a few LMS’s used in education. Links include product features, pricing, reviews, and tutorials.

Communication
Tools

These tools will assist programs and instructors in communicating with their students via messaging tools that can be used to send reminders, updates, and important information. Also included are web conferencing tools used to host web conferences (synchronous virtual classes, meetings, orientations, etc.) with students.

Accessibility and Inclusion

These resources provide programs and instructors with an overview of accessibility standards and accommodations as well as an understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Universal Design of Instruction (UDI), and inclusion in general.
